Romantic Connotations of the Foot

Anklets

Anklets are worn singly and in pairs. They are made as single- or multiple-piece units, either solid or hollow. If hollow, many are fitted with metal pellets, which make sounds when the wearer walks. In some regions anklets are embellished with jingles and chains.
