The Bata Shoe Museum Foundation was created in 1979 to document the history of footwear throughout the world. Since 1995, the collection of over 12,000 culturally diverse artefacts dating from the past 4,500 years has had its permanent home at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto.

Spanning both the globe and world history, Chronicles of Riches gives a behind the scenes look at some of the most treasured artefacts in the Bata Shoe Museum's collection.
